San Mateo UHSD

Parents and concerned constituents in SMUHSD are presenting a letter to the Superintendent and Board urging them to fully reopen all district schools for in-person instruction this school year (5 full days/week for all students who opt-in) and for the 2021-22 school year (5 full days/week for all students). If you are willing to add your name to this letter, as posted here, please click the Sign On button below to grant permission to use your signature.

Since the district has not shown willingness to commit to full-time reopening for the current semester (Spring 2021) and we are concerned that a full-time schedule may not be resumed for Fall 2021, we have retained an attorney to represent SMUHSD students’ statutory and constitutional rights to full-time in-person instruction. As a last resort, we are prepared to pursue legal action to ensure our students’ educational needs are met by the SMUHSD. Please consider making a pledge toward our legal fund. Pledges are non-binding expressions of a willingness to contribute. All contributions will be anonymous, tax-deductible, and used exclusively for legal expenses.

The Parent Association, Inc. is not party to any legal action that any group of parents may take against a School District or any other individual or entity. This webpage and sign on is solely a convenience offered by the Parent Association, Inc. to support parents in their efforts to advocate for full-time in-person instruction at school for all students.
