Bernadette Howarth | Director, San Marcos USD
Bernadette and her husband moved to San Marcos, CA in 2017 from New Jersey. Bernadette grew up in Northern California and had moved with her family to the East Coast in 2001. Since returning to California, their 2 daughters have graduated from Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, and their son currently attends Mission Hills.
Bernadette has over 20 years of experience in business administration, project management, marketing & client service and support roles, encompassing both the private and commercial sectors of aviation and airline travel. Bernadette’s business background also includes over a decade with a network marketing subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. She holds a BA in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Over the years, Bernadette has served many, many volunteer and support hours for her children’s local schools. She strongly believes all local families and parents need to have an awareness of, and relationship with, their local school board and administration to facilitate the best experience for the families who both attend, and work for, the district.
